SOUTH AFRICA

South Africa’s only commitment from the Summit is ongoing.

The commitment, which was assessed as not new and not ambitious after the Summit, is to redraft a National Anti-Corruption Strategy based on international best-practice models. The South African government promised last year that the Strategy was due to be unveiled by 9 December 2016, but that did not happen and it is now reported that the Strategy still needs to go through Cabinet.
