There has been no progress on the beneficial ownership register. The Australian Treasury has examined the issue through a public consultation and their own research. There has been no decision from the Government to proceed with a register.

The Australian Treasury continues to postpone their adherence to the commitment made in 2016, and fails to publish Beneficial Ownership information.

There has been no progress on this, despite the OGP commitment made in December 2016. The most recent OGP Forum meeting in August 2018, confirmed that no update on progress, or issues under consideration by the government could be shared. Responsibility for this OGP commitment is with The Treasury.
