INDONESIA

All of Indonesia’s six ambitious commitments have been completed. Indonesia has strengthened its whistleblower systems to protect those who have provided information on corruption, as well as strengthening its central databases of public contracting companies with final convictions.

Indonesia’s commitment to explore the establishment of public registers of company beneficial ownership information is ongoing, as is a pledge to improve transparency of the beneficial ownership of legal persons and legal arrangements to prevent misuse of these entities and arrangements for corruption, tax evasion, terrorist financing and money laundering. The final ongoing pledge is to establish an anti-corruption learning centre to promote anti-corruption education for all, and strengthen cooperation with relevant international institutions in the area of education and training.
